Cho Oyu

Mount Cho Oyu Cho Oyu is the sixth highest mountain in the world. Cho oyu lies in the Himalayas and is 20 km west of Mount Everest, at the border between China and Nepal. Cho oyu means "Turquoise Goddess" in Tibetan. Its one of the towering peak that stands with Everest well above the surrounding mountains. Cho Oyu became a familiar land mark to climbers ascending Everest north face.The Tibetan folktale of Cho oyu is that he fell in love with Everest , who later married to her closer neighbor to the southern , Makalu. Cho Oyu never married and he new faces the opposite way of Everest.
