Mount Kailash is a striking peak in the himalayan mountain of western Tibet. Kailash is a sacred mountain for four faiths, Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bon. Next to the mountain is two sacred lakes Manasarowar and Rakshatal, the most important of which is Lake Manasarowar.There have been no recorded attempy to climb Mount Kailas, it is considered off limits to climbers in deference to Buddhist and Hindu beliefs. It is the most significant peak in the world that has not seen any known climbing attempts. it is 6,683m (21,778ft).
Nanga Parbat is the ninth highest mountain on Earth. Nanga Parbat means "Naked Mountain" in English. Nanga is a Sanskrit word meaning "mountain or rock". It is the western anchor of the Himalayas and is the west most of the eight-thousander. It lies just south of the Indus River in the Astore District of the Gilgit- Baltistan in Pakistan. It is also known as killer mountain. It is the most challenging mountain to climb with the highest mortality rate.

The Sherpas are the tigers of the mountain. The Sherpas are the most famous of Nepalese people together with the brave Gurkha soilders. Sherpas migrated from the Tibeta to the uninh Solu-Khumbu region in the northeast corner of Nepal around in the 16th century. during that time Sherpas crossed the Tibetan border to trade yak meat and crops. In 1880, they introduction potato to the region, which is the main sourch of agriculture even today.

Annapurna (8091m) is located on the Annapurna massif of the Himalayas, in North-central Nepal. Annapurna is the tenth highest mountain peak in the world. Annapurna is a Sanskrit name that can be translated as a Goddess of the Harvests or more simply the provider.It became the first 8,000 meter mountain to be successfully climbed. Of Annapurna's many high peaks, five are labeled using some variation of the name Annapurna of these, the two highest (Annapurna I and II),stands like bookends at the western and eastern ends of the massif. The first ascent of the Annapurna via the North Face in the year 1950 was immortalized in the great Maurice Herzog's book "Annapurna".After 20 years another team succeeded on the mountain.
Dhaulagiri is the seventh highest mountain in the world. It forms the eastern anchor of the Dhaulagiri Himal, a subrange of the Himalaya in the Dhaulagiri Zone of north central Nepal. It lies northwest of Pokhara. across the deep gorge of the Kali Gandaki to the east lies the Annapurna Himal, home to Annapurna 1, one of the other eight-thousanders. Dhaulagiri means "White Mountain". It is one of the popular climbing peaks above 8000m. It is considered the most interesting peak among the eight thousanders.
Manaslu is the eight highest mountain in the world and is the high peak of the Gorkha massif. It is located about forty miles east of Annapurna. The name Manaslu is derived from the Sanskrit word Manasa and can be roughly translated as mountain of the Spirit.
Cho Oyu is the sixth highest mountain in the world. Cho oyu lies in the Himalayas and is 20 km west of Mount Everest, at the border between China and Nepal. Cho oyu means "Turquoise Goddess" in Tibetan. Its one of the towering peak that stands with Everest well above the surrounding mountains. Cho Oyu became a familiar land mark to climbers ascending Everest north face.The Tibetan folktale of Cho oyu is that he fell in love with Everest , who later married to her closer neighbor to the southern , Makalu. Cho Oyu never married and he new faces the opposite way of Everest.
Makalu is the fifth highest mountain in the world and its located 22km east of Mount Everest, on the border between Nepal and China. one of the eight-thousanders, Makalu is an isolated peak whose shape is a four-sided pyramid. Despite it being the fifth tallest among the eight thousanders, the mountain is still virtually new. Makalu has two notable subsidiary peaks Kanchangtse or Makalu 11
Lhotse is the fourth highest mountain on Earth and is connected to Everest via the south col. In addition to the main Summit at 8516 meters above sea level, Lhotse middle (East) is 8,414 meters and Lhotse shor is 8,383 metres. It is located at the border between Tibet (China) and Khumbu (Nepal).It is sometimes mistakenly identified as the south peak of the Everest massif. No serious attention was turned to climbing Lhotse until after Everest had finally been ascended. The first attempt on Mount Lhotse was by an international team in 1955.
Kanchenjunga is the third highest mountain in the world, with an elevation of 8,586 (28169ft). Kanchenjunga means "The Five Treasures of Snow", as it contains five peaks, four of them over 8,450 meters. The treasure represent the five repositories of God, which are gold, silver, gems, grain, and holy books. Kanchenjunga is also called Sewalungma in the local Limbu language and is considered sacred in the Kirant religion.It is located on the border of Nepal and Sikkim, just 46 miles northwest of Darjeeling. It is the most easterly of the great 8,000-meter peaks of the Himalayas. It was first climbed by G. Band, Evans and J Brown in 1955.
